I’ve always loved pecans (well, nuts in general, but pecans are my fave.
Any time I’m eating something with pecans, I want as many as I can get. I’m always going to grab the piece of pecan pie with the most nuts (or if I’m making it, you better believe it’s going to be loaded!)
You’ve probably put peanut or almond butter in a smoothie, and that’s totally delish, but what about raw nuts? Specifically pecans? If you’ve never done it, you need to try it. Now.
This one has bananas, pecans, coconut milk, and cacao nibs. If you’ve never had cacao nibs they are basically cocoa beans that have been roasted and cracked. They have a deep chocolate flavor, but don’t have sweetness, so you probably don’t want to eat them on their own.
When combined with bananas, dates, and pecans in a smoothie, however, they add a chocolate chip like quality, almost like you’re drinking a chocolate chip milk shake, but it’s healthy. I’ve used both hazelnuts and walnuts in this smoothie, and while they were good, the pecans are definitely the best.
