Poppy and Sesame Seed Crackers

Crackers are a favorite snack of mine, but they’re expensive. Luckily, they’re pretty easy to make. This recipe is simple, uses ingredients you already have on hand, and is easily customizable. You can use whole wheat flour for a healthier version, or top it with anything you’d like. Dried herbs, chili flakes, or cracked black pepper would work well.

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Combine dry ingredients.
  3. Add oil and water and stir until you have a dough.
  4. Divide and shape dough.
  5. Roll out.
  6. Brush dough with water and sprinkle with sesame and poppy seeds
  7. Cut into desired shapes.
  8. Transfer to baking sheet and prick with a fork.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  10. Cool.
